

Zhaslan Madiyev is the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He leads national policy in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, innovation, and technological development. Mr. Madiyev holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University under the Bolashak International Scholarship Program. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a degree in World Economy and International Finance.
He began his professional career in 2007 at Morgan Stanley in London and subsequently held senior positions in major public institutions and national companies, including the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna, Development Bank of Kazakhstan, and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. He also served as Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms and First Vice-Minister of Digital Development. In 2024, he was appointed Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry. Since September 2025, he has served as Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
